What's new?
Glad you asked!
Back in April this year we did a two day clinic in Anapra. Thanks to an AWESOME turn out, we were able to do spay and neuter surgeries on 404 dogs and cats. Yes, in two days! We had hoped to go back in June, but the heat wave derailed those plans. Anapra is back on the schedule for December 1st 2024. We also did another Clinic in towns in the area of Basaseachi in May.
On our 5 year nonprofit anniversary back in May, Dr. Shannon and our volunteer storekeeper at CCCanyonStore went live on social media to celebrate. If you missed it, you missed a good time. Lol. With help from another volunteer, Brooke, we showed a lot of the merchandise that passes through our little store on Instagram. Come and see us anytime for unique, new and vintage items. Support our work through your purchases!
Compassion Copper Canyon was quieter this summer. we kept busy with fundraising, organizing (a much bigger job then anyone can imagine with supplies are kept and gathered in 5 different locations!). Our faithful supporters make it happen.
We just got back from an October clinic in Ahumada. It was a busy two days and we sterilized 252 animals! We can't say enough about the awesome local support we receive in Ahumada! It makes our job so much easier.
As always, we need more volunteers. Our main locations for in person volunteering are Chattanooga and El Paso, but we have many needs that could be met remotely from wherever you live. Online social media, help with secretarial duties, emails, thank you notes, even writing newsletters like this! Reach out if you would like to help. We need you!
Have a great end of the year. See you in 2025!
