VOLUNTEER
MEXICO
Thanks so much four your interest in volunteering with Compassion Copper Canyon.
We are looking for compassionate veterinarians, techs, and assistants to help provide vital veterinary services—primarily spay/neuter—to economically challenged and remote areas of Mexico. You can support our mission by volunteering at our field clinics, donating medical supplies, or spreading awareness. Your contribution can make a life-changing impact on these underserved communities.

What to Expect
True Field Medicine – We set up in makeshift locations with limited resources, traveling to a new town each day. Clinics are often outdoors, so pack accordingly—summers are hot, winters are cold.

Travel & Accommodations – Volunteers cover their own travel to Juarez, where we provide group transportation. Clinics are 8-14 hours from the El Paso-Juarez border. Accommodations and meals are covered upon arrival, but please bring money for meals during travel. Food options are limited, so plan ahead if you have dietary needs.

Supplies & Conditions – Bring a headlamp, as lighting can be poor. Surgery tables are makeshift (folding tables on cinder blocks) and not adjustable. We ask volunteers to bring their own surgical gloves, packs, sutures, and a V-tray or positioner. Many locations lack hot water, so be prepared for rugged conditions. Long drives can be rough—but the views are breathtaking!
Our Work
While our primary focus is spay/neuter, we also treat conditions such as ear infections, mange, and skin issues using the supplies we have. All services are free. Every dog receives pain medication, rabies vaccines (when available), flea/tick treatment, and dewormer.
